NUTRIFIT Calypso Spice Blend
Whiskey adds a nice subtle flavor to the meat (also works well with ground buffalo, venison or vegetarian ground "beef.") Be sure to simmer long enough or you will taste the alcohol!

1/2 Lb. Ground beef
1/3 Cup Diced onion
1/3 Cup Diced green bell pepper
1/2 Cup Whiskey or Scotch
2 Tsp. NUTRIFIT Calypso Spice Blend
1 Tbsp. Salt-free butter
Cooked rice for serving (white or brown)

Saute the onions and green pepper in butter until just tender. Do not burn.

Stir in the beef and NUTRIFIT Calypso Spice Blend. Brown the beef slightly and then pour in about 2/3 of the whiskey or scotch. Stir the beef on medium heat until the whiskey has been absorbed.

Pour in the remaining whiskey, place a lid on the pan and simmer for 10 - 15 or until most, but not all, of the remaining whiskey has been absorbed.

Serve over rice.
