Think turkey doesn't make a good burger?  Think again!  Try serving this to your staunchest "beef only" friends and see what they think - they'll be converts for sure!  I've tricked a few friends already who raved about it before knowing what it was made of.  Plus, it's leaner than beef!

1 lb Ground turkey (if you can, do NOT go with the leanest option available - 93 - 94% lean is fine.)
1/4 Cup yellow onion, diced
1 Jalapeno pepper diced and seeded
1 tbsp Colgin Liquid Smoke
1 Clove garlic, pressed
1 tsp Celery seed
Fresh ground black pepper to taste

Mix all the ingredients thoroughly and form into burgers - you should make either 3 very large burgers or 4 more normal sized ones.)

Heat up your grill and once hot, spray with some olive or vegetable oil.  Grill to your liking.

Goes great with a beer or a spicy red wine like a Syrah.

Serves 3 - 4.

Sodium: 70 - 90 mg per serving plus your bun.
