This is a really savory version of the classic fried green tomato sandwich and sure to satisfy the boldest hunger.It will melt right in your mouth! You can serve this on sandwich bread but I prefer a roll such as a Kaiser roll. As always, I end up with the bread that's the lowest in sodium. When selecting your tomatoes, make sure they are completely green and not yet turning any shade of red, even if only slight. For green tomatoes to fry well, they have to be very firm and if they are at the point of even beginning to ripen they will be too soft on the inside.
